CAR ACCIDENTS & GOING BLONDE | WEEKEND RECAP

Oh dear, it's Monday! I can't believe the weekend is over already, but I can't really complain since my weekend was pretty relaxing! However, it did start off with a BANG! Literally, a bang. Based on my post from Friday, my day was going pretty good until I got a message from my mom saying my sister was in a car accident and ambulance were on the way! So, I ended up leaving work a bit earlier than usual. Luckily, my sister and the guy who hit her are okay just a bit sore! (It was our dose of chaos to start the weekend). I ended up spending the rest of the evening relaxing with Mia and doing face masks! This is something we like to do when we want to stay in and pamper ourselves. It was perfect since I got my package from Ulta in the mail on Friday with some great sheet masks from TonyMoly and Mialyna had just picked out a cute face mask from Justice (her favourite store) the weekend before! It was a great way to end the work week!

Saturday consisted of running around with my mama and Mia for stuff for our houses and photoshoots. My mom and I have a very bad addiction to HomeSense and Michaels. I ended up picking up some mirrors for our living room and random stuff we needed. It also got me super excited for Fall as they had the cutest decor out! I cannot wait to decorate the house for all the festivities that are coming up in Fall and Winter, since it will be our first time in the new house! Mialyna and Sam were feeling a little bit under the weather so they decided to have a relaxing night in, while I went to a photoshoot with my mom and sister. We captured the cutest little family in a field at sunset! It was gorgeous!

Sunday was yet another pamper day for me as I decided to change up my hair! I know what your thinking... woah this girl is living the life! But trust me, I NEVER go to salon or the spa or anything of the sort (it's a very rare occasion)! But, I decided it was about time I treat myself to a trip to the salon since it has been over 5 years since I've done anything different to my hair. I'm a creature of habit and I have trust issues with hair stylists. I decided to take the plunge and try something different. I decided I wanted to transition my jet black hair to a caramel/blonde balayage! Since it was my first time going and I wasn't sure how my hair would react to the bleach we decided to start off with just a bit and go for a caramel brownish blonde colour... and guess what! It worked out great! You can check out the before (top left corner) and after shots down below! I was super surprised as I was expecting my hair to be orange and I definitely went into the salon mid anxiety attack and expecting the worst! So, I'm so happy it actually worked out and I'm actually already excited to go even lighter and brighter! So stay tuned for an update!

We ended up wrapping up the weekend with a family BBQ, a visit from our friend Jayden who was visiting from out west, and a late night workout! So, it turned out to be a great weekend even though it started off a tad chaotic!

For all you mommy's out there let my weekend be a reminder to set out some time to pamper yourself and unwind! So, grab a delicious latte, read a book, take a bubble bath or book a day at the spa! You deserve it!

Also, I'm super excited for the upcoming weeks on the blog as I have some great ideas in the works and some day trips planned that I can't wait to share with you all! So, stay tuned!
