MY RESULTS & REALIZATIONS |

Hi Everyone!

I'm back again with an update post! For those of you who read my last post I was explaining why I have been MIA from the blog and something I have been dealing with in regards to my health. It has been a rocky road since the beginning of January. But, I'm finally starting to feel more like myself and get back to my normal life.

Over the weekend, I finally got good news! The bone scan that was done to determine if my bone tumour was cancer came back negative and shows no sign of cancer as of now! AHH! You don't understand how good it feels to know this - I instantly felt less stressed when the doctor told me.

I have been improving as well - I'm able to walk, sit longer, I'm back to work, back to driving, and back in our own house! yay! I do need to take breaks and to take it easy- but it's way better than before! I haven't got back in the gym, because usually l'm pretty sore by the time I'm done my work day or just from walking. I was also advised to not over do it.

Although it is not cancer - I still have to be very careful. My tumour is larger than most that they would leave in the bone, it can cause my hip and femur to break with very low impact (not good news for me since I'm very clumsy), it can also break my bone if it gets bigger, and it needs to be monitored on a regular basis to ensure it doesn't turn into cancer. I have another appointment tomorrow to check-in with my family doctor and to come up with an action plan to see what we will do next. I will also most likely need to see a specialist to ensure it is taken care of in the best way.

Now that you are all updated on my results! I want to give a HUGE thank you for all the love you all sent my way. I've received so many messages from friends, co-workers, extended family, people who I haven't spoken to in a while, and even people I've never met who have been following my journey. So, THANK YOU to everyone who has sent me such sweet messages, sent good vibes and prayers my way. It means the world to me!

I want to also say a big thank you to my parents and family who helped me like crazy this past month with my health, Mialyna, Georgie, the house, and everything else. Also, special thanks to my little sissy aka Sabrina who was so great during this time with Mialyna and helping me do basic things like change or shower- but, most importantly the cuddles:P. Thank you all for being there emotionally and physically throughout all of this - I wouldn't have been able to get through it without YOU!

Also - a special thanks to someone special to me (you know who you are)... Thank you for sitting with me every weekend through my pain, my emotional struggles, and through every doctor visit. Thanks for coming late at night to check on me, for doing research like crazy, for bringing me my fav treats, for comforting me, and for coming up with a long list of questions for the doctors. I know I wasn't the most fun or the easiest to deal with, but you made these four terrible weeks of waiting and being in pain so much better. xo

It really takes these moments to realize how grateful you are and how lucky you are to have certain people in your life. It truly shows you who is there for you in good times and bad... and who isn't there when you need them. It also makes me so grateful for the little things that some of us aren't able to do during certain circumstances. It has also made me realize to live everyday to it's fullest, because it can change so easily tomorrow.

Anyways- I'll end this sappy posts here! I hope you all are having a great start to your week and I hope to be blogging normally as soon as possible xo

Until next time,

Alysia xo
