I'm back with another Tasty Thursday recipe for you! This one is perfect for someone who is living a healthier lifestyle, but has a major sweet tooth! Oh, and not to mention you have to be a fan of peanut butter and be a cookie monster( but..who isn't?). I know what your thinking, another cookie recipe? Trust me, you will thank me later for sharing this one! Plus, I promise my next few recipes won't be cookies!
So, a few weeks ago on a Monday night I was enjoying some cuddles with Mialyna & Georgie and watching TV. I just came back from the gym and then IT happened. My sweet craving hit me- HARD! I was craving some yummy peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. But, I didn't want to just throw away all the hard work I just put in at the gym! So, I headed into the kitchen on a mission! I wanted to make a sweet treat that I wouldn't feel guilty about!
And that's where the magic happened! I created simple, quick and not to mention delicious peanut butter chocolate chip cookies! They hit the spot perfectly and were a great guilt-free treat. So, I thought I'd share it with you all!
Healthy 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
What you need:
1 cup of oats
2 ripe bananas
1 cup of natural peanut butter (Feel free to add whichever brand you prefer, but I get the all natural peanut butter Farm Boy- I recommend looking for one where peanuts are the only ingredient, because health! Am I right?!)
A handful of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (maybe a cup, I just dump until it looks like enough. You can also do any type of chocolate chips you prefer! I just love the mini ones - or go all out and get peanut butter chips to add in!) - This step is optional.
What to do:
Preheat your oven to 350° F. Lightly coat your baking sheet (8x8 or whatever you have) with non-stick cooking spray.
Blend up your oats or you can keep them whole! I like to blend them up for a few seconds and then also add some whole oats into the bowl.
Throw in your bananas . Smash them up with the oats!
Dump in your peanut butter and chocolate chips!
Mix, Mix, Mix!
Make your dough into bite size balls ( or whatever size you prefer haha) and then place them on your baking sheet. Be sure to press them down slightly.
Cook for 15 minutes and then let them cool!
Enjoy your healthy, yummy, delicious, guilt-free, amazing, peanut buttery chocolately cookies! (Too much? haha!.. That's exactly how I described them to my mom)
Hope you all enjoy this quick and healthy cookie recipe! Also, feel free to get creative with your ingredients!
Until next time,
Alysia xo
