MIALYNA'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL & OOTD |

The first day of school for me is always bittersweet and always makes me reflect on everything that has happened over the years. It is usually bittersweet because I'll miss Mialyna being home all the time and getting to stay up late with her on weekdays to snuggle and watch a movie. But, it's also nice when she goes back because it usually kicks us into a routine, keeps her busy, and she usually has a blast. She is SUPER outgoing and loves making new friends! I'd also be lying if I didn't say it's also nice when she has an early bedtime as it let's me get things done around the house or have some me time. I'm sure you other moms out there can relate!
This year was a bit different than our usual first days as it was our first one in our own house, with me not in school, and I was able to work from home! That meant that I got to enjoy getting her ready for her first day without rushing, make her breakfast, wait to find out who her teacher was and for the bell! She was super excited that I was able to take her to her first day and so was I! We were also really happy because she got a super sweet teacher and landed a class with BOTH her best friends! I cannot get over the fact that my baby girl is turning 8 in a matter of days AND just started grade 3. LIKE WHAT! I do wish time would slow down just a tad... but I am excited to see her personality grow and her transform into a little lady! I've also added a few pictures from her first day and outfit details down below! MOST of the items are on sale which is great! She is too cute- I did not get many though as she was feeling a bit under the weather. Just our luck that she would be sick on the first day!

The first day of school is not only filled with excitement, chaos, and nerves for Mialyna -but also me! This is because once school starts this mama's whole routine has to do a complete 180! I instantly have to wake up earlier to have enough time to let Georgie outside and get both Mialyna and I ready and fed. I also need to have her dropped off to my mom's house before 7:30am to make it to work on time and not to mention lunches and outfits for both of us need to be picked out in advance! I'd like to say I'm pretty organized and usually have everything done on time. But, for some reason I always spend my morning running around like a crazy lady or having to drag Mialyna out of bed. She usually wants to change her outfit twice (at least - of course just like mama) and wants to play on her Ipad instead of doing her hair. Even though it is pure madness - I love having our little morning routine together!
I also decided now that school is back in action for the kiddies that I will begin to share some cute lunch and snack ideas for your little ones on the blog! Maybe, some tips to staying organized! These will come as soon as I get into the swing of things! So, keep an eye out!
