Hello again!
I know it's been awhile since I last posted an update or a post even! However, since Mialyna's birthday was last week it's been very busy! I've been juggling a bunch of things lately and been a lot busier on weekends than I was before! But, I promise I'll be posting more! With that being said, I've also been lacking a lot more sleep and I feel like I wake up looking like a zombie on most days! So, since my skin is pretty sensitive these days I was on a mission to create a natural remedy to de-puff my eyes and help with dark circles!
So, yesterday I headed into the kitchen to make some DIY Cucumber and Green Tea eye masks! They are super easy to make and a relaxing way to end your night or use when you wake up! However, last night after making the DIY masks and right when I was about to wind down for the night with Mialyna - I had an accident! While going to put the chemicals into our hot tub I accidentally dropped it all over me and inhaled a bunch of it! It was NOT good! It resulted in a very bad headache, a sore chest/throat, coughing, dizziness, etc. I even had to call poison control! But, I'm doing much better but still have a terrible headache and some burning! Thank god it wasn't worse and that I was able to get it off of me ASAP! Plus- everyone was super sweet and making sure I was okay every five minutes and didn't stop breathing.
Since I had a terrible headache and wasn't feeling too good - I was told to lay down and rest, which was perfect because I was able to use the eye masks I just created. IT FELT AMAZING! They are seriously better than any other mask I have bought from the store - they are refreshing, calming, and all natural! So, you should all try them out since I have the steps down below to recreate them! They are great for any mommy lacking sleep, when you want to pamper yourself, or after a late night. There are also tons of benefits of this powerful duo (See below!).

DIY Cucumber Green Tea Eye Masks - Goodbye Zombie Status!

What You Need:
Cotton Rounds - up to you how many masks you want to make - I would say around 5 to 10 to start
1/3 of a cucumber (sliced)
1/2 cup of green tea ( I used the PC Green Tea brand)
A blender
2 Ziploc bags
Scissors
What to do:
First, you need to prep your supplies! Cut your cotton rounds in half, slice up your cucumber and make your tea!

Next, add your 1/2 cup of green tea and cucumber slices into the blender. Blend until you have a smooth consistency - not too watery not too thick! Add more cucumber or green tea to help adjust.

Pour the mixture into a bowl and soak your cotton rounds in the mixture for approx. 2-3 minutes.
Remove your cotton rounds after they have soaked and squeeze out any extra mixture- you want them damp but not dripping! Feel free to use the extra mixture as a full face mask to help moisturize and brighten skin!

Next, put them into a ziploc bag - spread them apart so they don't stick together. Put them in freezer to freeze for 2 hours.

When you are ready to use them - let them thaw out for a few minutes as they will be FREEZING! Get them to your preferred temperature! Make sure they are cold/cool so that it helps depuff and soothe the eye area. Once ready - place underneath your eye! Leave on for 10-15 minutes or until dried out! Any extra mixture that leaks down pat into skin (under eye or on your face)! You can also use these rounds to refresh your face not just your under eyes!
Hope you all loved this quick and easy beauty trick and DIY! Don't forget to pamper yourself - so pour yourself a glass of wine or a nice cup of coffee (depending on time of day: ;) ) while using the masks!
Until next time,
Alysia xo
